Position: Event Photographer

 

Description:

The Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association (SAPA) is seeking an Event Photographer who has a passion for photography. This position is part of the Event Operation & Logistics Management team, key responsibility of Event Photographer is to take photos of SAPA events that can be published in newsletters, brochures, and other public relations material.

Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for taking photos of SAPA events. Able to find the right balance of composition, angle, and lighting to achieve the perfect shot
  • Possess and bring camera equipment (not cell phones)
  • Set up lighting and equipment to prepare for photo shooting
  • Work with the Event Planning Committee and/or Communication Team to ensure the needs
  • Edit photos after the event, and share photos with the Event Leadership and Communication Team within 1 week of the event
  • Responsible for other photography related activities

 Requirements:

  • Eligible candidate must be an active SAPA member
  • Professional event photography experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with others, work as a member of a team
  • Able to stand and move around for a long time period
  • Be available to attend the events in-person

Time Commitments:

During Event Commitment:

  • Minimum 1 full day commitment
  • Can be divided among multiple volunteers for the duration of the event

Post-event Commitment:

  • Post-event work varies by event (approx. 3-5 hours of editing after each event)
