Job Summary
At QLD Biotherapeutics, we develop cell and gene therapies using innovative technologies to treat devastating diseases. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Cell Therapy team, focusing on early drug discovery and technology development.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with an experienced drug discovery and development team and lead early-stage platform development in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.

Primary Responsibilities
Initiate and optimize designs of plasmids for viral vector production.
Manufacture research grade recombinant AAV vectors utilizing suspension cell cultures.
Purify viral vectors utilizing various techniques such as filtration, ultracentrifugation and chromatography.
Perform analytical tests such as qPCR, dPCR, SDS-PAGE, infectivity assays.
Provide technical support to early discovery and development activities.
Work with service providers for outsourced activities.

Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Virology or related science disciplines with a minimum of 5 years of experience in gene therapy (or MS degree with >3 years of experience, or PhD degree with >1 year of experience).
Advanced skills in biochemistry and molecular cloning.
Extensive experience in mammalian cell culture in adherent and suspension forms.
Hands-on experience in viral vector purification.
Extensive knowledge and experience in vector analytics.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent organization and communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
