Director, Finance Shared Services

Location: Princeton, NJ

Reports to (Title): Chief Financial Officer of Hengrui USA / Europe


Job Summary: The incumbent will strategically develop and implement a Shared Services Center for US & EU, thereby serving as a business service delivery leader while optimizing cost.  He/She will effectively present strategic direction to internal customers and seek to improve customer experience.



  • Responsible for all aspects of the accounts payable, procurement, expense reimbursement (T&E) and accounts receivable functions.  Ensures best in class practices in these areas.  Responsible for system implementation and optimizing structure and operations of these groups.
  • Responsible for payroll operations.  Ensures all operational and regulatory requirements related to payroll are met.  Responsible for optimizing and enhancing of payroll operations.
  • 401(K) Plan administration
  • Implementation and management of PO system
  • Implementation of global credit card solutions
  • Oversee state tax and regulatory filings
  • Identify process improvements and other aspects of the Company’s operations that can be integrated into shared services operations, thereby directly contributing to the Company’s bottom line while optimizing processing costs.
  • Integrate all processing activities of newly acquired businesses into the Shared Services Center.
  • Various corporate-level projects, including commercial insurance renewals, Sunshine Act compliance and expanding and managing on-line banking/electronic payment capabilities.
  • Financial systems implementations and process improvement initiatives

Job Requirements:

Experience / Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred;
  • 10+ years experience, pharmaceutical industry experience in accounting and business support;
  • Experience with automation of high volume transaction.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Experience with ERP systems, previous implementation a plus.
  • Implementation of global credit card solutions
  • Experience in management and development of a professional staff.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong MS Office skills;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work well in a team-based work structure and build and manage a growing team; and,
  • Problem solving skills with ability to present working solutions
